Do Not Disturb

Privacy policy

  1. What we collect

Nothing. Do Not Disturb has no accounts, no analytics, no crash reporting, no ads and no servers of ours. We never see what you log.

  2. Where your entries live

On your phone, in the app's private storage. Like any app's data, that storage is part of your normal iPhone backup (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) if you keep one. If you turn on iCloud sync, entries are also stored in your own iCloud account and delivered to your other devices by Apple. Signing out of iCloud or switching Apple Account clears the synced copy on the phone, so the app also keeps its own backup file of your entries in its private storage and offers to restore from it. Backups and sync are covered by Apple's iCloud terms, not by anything of ours.

  3. Your PIN

The PIN is stored in this phone's Keychain, marked as never leaving the device. Face ID and Touch ID are handled by iOS; the app only learns whether the check passed.

  4. Exports

Export as JSON writes a file that you choose where to send. It contains your names, dates, ratings, places, excuses and notes. Anyone you share it with can read it, so treat it like a diary.

  5. Report cards and Wrapped

A shared report card, or the summary at the end of a year's Wrapped, is an image with the two names and that period's numbers on it. Notes are never included, and neither is where anything happened. The app adds an image to your photo library only when you choose Save Image, and it never reads your photos.

  6. Deleting your data

Delete everything in Settings removes every entry on this phone, and from iCloud if sync is on. An entry that had not yet reached this phone from iCloud is not covered until it arrives; run Delete everything again then. Deleting the app removes its local storage, the app's own backup file included. iCloud data can also be cleared under Settings › Apple Account › iCloud › Manage Storage.

  7. Children

The app is for adults and is rated accordingly on the App Store.

  8. Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version ships with an app update and the date above moves.
